The Body OTT Release: Teenage rivalries, forbidden desires and supernatural mysteries come together in The Body, an upcoming horror-tinged coming-of-age drama that explores what happens when a school ritual takes a disturbing turn.
Featuring Kristina Bogic alongside Sara Boustany and Geena Meszaros, the series combines the complications of adolescence with religious guilt, unsettling visions and growing hysteria. The show is set to bring an eerie story of secrets and consequences to streaming audiences this November.
The Body will premiere on Netflix on November 11, 2026.
The story centres on a group of rebellious girls attending a Catholic school whose lives take a disturbing turn after a dance-team initiation goes horribly wrong. What begins as a seemingly reckless attempt to take part in a team tradition soon develops into something far more unsettling. Following the incident, several girls begin experiencing strange visions that appear to predict events yet to come. These unexpected experiences leave them struggling to understand what is happening and whether their lives have been affected by something beyond their comprehension.
As the visions become more widespread, anxiety begins to take hold of the girls and the wider community. Their experiences spark questions about the boundary between faith and the supernatural, while uncertainty makes it increasingly difficult to distinguish genuine warnings from fear-driven interpretations. The possibility that the initiation has set something disturbing in motion adds another layer of tension, leaving those involved to wonder whether they have witnessed an inexplicable phenomenon or become trapped in a situation shaped by guilt and panic.
Beyond its horror elements, the series explores the complicated lives of its young protagonists. They must deal with changing friendships, secret attractions, personal insecurities and the expectations placed on them within a strict religious setting. As the strange occurrences intensify, existing tensions threaten to damage their relationships, making it harder for them to trust one another.
The situation also affects how the town views the girls, as suspicion and concern grow around their experiences. Their actions during the initiation continue to cast a shadow over what follows, forcing them to confront the possible consequences of their decisions. Blending teenage struggles with supernatural suspense, the story examines how fear, belief and social pressure can influence people when faced with events they cannot easily explain.
